President’s Blog: May, 2014

The Annual Volunteer Appreciation dinner and program was a huge success. Board members and volunteers enjoyed a wonderful meal catered by the Catholic Church.
Entertainment was provided by the Vierling Brothers who sang a variety of songs that were enjoyed by the guests. Volunteers were recognized by Rox Ann Rhoads for their dedication to helping send out your Husky Newsletter.

Board members introduced themselves and special acolytes were given to Cliff Scholten, Karna Dougherty and Jim Olson who are retiring from the board. If anyone is interested in serving on the Alumni Board, please contact a current board member for information. This is a worthwhile organization supporting alumni activities ranging from fund raising, special projects for alumni recognition and the All School Reunion during Bridge Festival.

Reminder that this years’ All School Reunion will take place Saturday night of the Bridge Festival at a NEW LOCATION – the Jackson Building located at the Madison County Fair Grounds. Time for the reunion will be from 5-9 p.m. so plan to attend and catch up on alumni and your classmates.
Final thought for this month: Be sure to visit the Alumni website at www.wintersetalumni.com and get your e-mail to the Husky Editor so you can begin receiving the Husky via e-mail starting in September.

Until next month, please remember to keep in contact with classmates, plan your next class reunion, support WHS and remain active.
