Annual All-Class Reunion: Covered Bridge Festival Weekend
An all-class reunion is held locally every year at the Jackson Building on the Madison County Fairgrounds starting at 5:00 p.m. and ending at 9:00 p.m. This social gathering is an opportunity to see and meet classmates and other alumni you haven’t seen for awhile. Food and adult refreshments are provided.
There is also a reception at the Farmers and Merchants State Bank Meeting Room for all alumni and friends of Winterset Schools from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. the Saturday afternoon of the Covered Bridge Festival for those who cannot attend the reunion in the evening. You may attend both.
There is no fee to attend this event, however there is an opportunity to renew your membership or join the Winterset Alumni Association. There is also an opportunity for a free will offering for the food and drink. We also accept general donations above and beyond membership dues.
This has become a very popular event, and we usually have a packed house. In some years we have had to add a tent to the back of the building (when the event was located at the fire station). A wide range of WHS graduates attend this reunion from the graduating years 1940 to present, as well as retired teachers. We hope to see you there, too!
